We’re open!

Published by Scott under news

After many fits and starts, I’m happy to announce that the Small Molecule Crystallography Laboratory at Villanova University is open for business! To say it’s been a rough start would be an understatement. We are on our third goniometer (though one was a loaner), faced several substantial infrastructure problems with water and power, and have had issues with our cryosystem. I am now confident that we can do what we set out to do over two years ago, which is to meet the teaching and research crystallographic needs of our faculty colleagues in the region that have limited or no access to crystallographic instrumentation. We are accepting samples for data collection / solution and will also be able to collect routine powder data. Much more will be forthcoming including information on how to submit a sample or to arrange a visit to the facility for you and your students. We hope that you will take advantage of what we can offer!
